The India Sustainable Aviation Fuel Market Share is expected to grow as major airlines integrate SAF into their operations. At present, SAF holds a negligible share of India’s aviation fuel consumption, which is dominated by conventional jet fuel derived from crude oil. However, with India committing to net-zero carbon emissions by 2070 and its aviation industry expected to become the third-largest globally, SAF’s share is likely to expand steadily.

Airlines such as IndiGo and Air India have already shown interest in SAF adoption through partnerships and demonstration flights. As domestic production capacity scales up, SAF’s share in aviation fuel consumption is projected to increase over the next decade.
